Dr Balhetchet was part of the judging panel last year and also the Guest of Honour at ourannual exposition.




Jack Sim, Founder, World Toilet Organization, the first Made-in-Singapore Global NGO.

Jack established the Restroom Association of Singapore (RAS) in 1998, which addresses the state of dirty public toilets in designs, building codes and poorly trained cleaners.  Realising the need for a global body on the subject, Jack then created the World Toilet Organization (WTO) in 2001.  Since its inception, WTO organized ten World Toilet Summits and two World Toilet Expo and Forum. Today, WTO is a growing network of 235 organizations in 58 countries. 

In 2006, Jack won the Social Entrepreneur of the Year awarded by Schwab Foundation of Switzerland. He is now a Schwab Fellow of the World Economic Forum.  In 2007, he also became the first Singaporean elected to be an Ashoka Global Fellow.  Channel News Asia named him Asian of the Year 2009


Andrea Kershaw, Lead at IDEO Singapore

Andrea Kershaw led IDEO London and specializes in supporting organizations that want toexpand their internal innovation efforts. She collaborates with clients to understand theirparticular needs, requirements, and capabilities and to identify market opportunities.

Andrea supports many international companies, including T-Mobile and Bertelsmann, onprojects as diverse as the design of a consumer-led service development centre and the creation of new funding models to drive evolutionary and revolutionary change withincompanies.



Chris Cusano, Lead, Ashoka Singapore

Chris Cusano is the Director of Ashoka's Entrepreneur-to-Entrepreneur program (E2E) in Asia.Chris joined Ashoka in 2000 after working for seven years with grassroots human rightsorganizations in Southeast Asia.

Chris has specialized in the selection of new Fellows, increasing the volume of new elections we can handle, documenting Ashoka's unique selection criteria, and training staff in identifyingcases of social entrepreneurship worldwide.

Now in Singapore, Chris is helping Ashoka expand in Asia.



Patsian Low, Deputy Director, National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre

Patsian Low specializes in research and consultative work in microfinance, social finance, non-profit organisation analysis and other initiatives that economically advance social objectives.She has been active in the social finance sector as a volunteer since 2004, prior to that she has 14 years of financial services private sector experience from New York, Hong Kong, andSingapore.
